Traze Securities L.L.C has appointed Bassem Abdou as Director of Business Development in the United Arab Emirates. Abdou took up the role in August 2026.

Bassem Abdou brings 17 years of regional experience
Abdou has more than 17 years of experience in regional leadership roles across the GCC and MENA. His background covers financial trading, investment, sales management, client acquisition and business development.
Before joining Traze, Abdou served as Director of Business Development at OneRoyal. He joined OneRoyal in January 2026, following his role as GCC Regional Head of Business Development.
He previously spent more than eight years as Regional Manager of Business Development at Swiss For Direct Trading In Currencies, Metals And Commodities Co. (K.S.C.C). Abdou held that position from March 2017 to June 2025 in Dubai.
Earlier in his career, Abdou was Regional Manager of Business Development at Boston Merchant Financial Ltd. He held the role from May 2009 to February 2017, also in Dubai.
He also worked at Barclays Bank as Business Development Manager from March 2008 to April 2009 in Egypt.
