Securonix, Inc. has appointed Essam Ahmed as Senior Sales Director for the Middle East and Africa (MEA). Announced on 28 October 2026, the appointment places Ahmed in charge of regional sales strategy, partner development and customer growth.
Ahmed will work with enterprise and government organisations as they adopt Securonix’s Unified Defense SIEM platform and AI-powered security operations. His remit also includes strengthening customer relationships and working with regional channel partners.
Essam Ahmed brings over 20 years of cybersecurity experience
Ahmed brings more than 20 years of cybersecurity experience and has supported customers across more than 30 countries. His career includes leadership roles at McAfee, FireEye and spiderSilk.
At FireEye, Ahmed led systems engineering across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. His team helped reduce proof of value cycles from around 120 days to two weeks.
He later drove regional revenue growth at LogRhythm and Exabeam. During his career, he also earned three President’s Club awards. Before joining Securonix, Ahmed served as Vice President of Global Sales at spiderSilk.
Regional sales leadership and partner development
Ahmed will lead Securonix’s regional sales strategy as organisations manage increasingly complex security operations. The company identifies cloud adoption, growing data volumes and AI-enabled business processes as factors driving this complexity.
In his new role, Ahmed will work with chief information officers, chief information security officers and channel partners. The focus will be on improving threat detection, investigation and response while maintaining governance and human oversight.
Cyrille Badeau, Vice President of EMEA at Securonix, said customers across the region want security programmes that keep pace with technology adoption and deliver measurable outcomes.
Badeau added that Ahmed’s regional experience and background in building teams, supporting partners and serving enterprise and government customers would help Securonix deepen relationships across MEA.
Ahmed said security leaders across the Middle East and Africa were investing in AI and cloud technologies while remaining accountable for resilience, efficiency and control.
His stated priority is to help customers translate those investments into stronger threat detection, faster investigations and governed responses. He also plans to work with Securonix’s regional partner community to connect platform capabilities with measurable security outcomes.
Securonix expands through its regional partner network
Securonix will build on its existing regional partner ecosystem to support customer access and platform adoption. Its partners include DigiGlass by Redington, AmiViz, StarLink, HelpAG, RNS Technology and Cyberdome.
According to the company, these relationships provide access to local expertise and managed security services. They also support the adoption of Securonix Unified Defense SIEM across the region.
Securonix provides a cloud-native security information and event management platform that combines threat detection, investigation and response. The company also offers AI capabilities for security operations, with an emphasis on human oversight and measurable outcomes.
Ahmed’s appointment brings an experienced cybersecurity sales leader into the company’s MEA leadership structure. His responsibilities span revenue growth, customer relationships and partner development across the regional market.
