Tadweer Group has appointed Jamil Asfour as Executive Director of Technology and Digital in UAE. Asfour will lead the group’s technology and digital function.

Asfour brings more than 27 years of experience across technology, investment and digital transformation. His career includes senior roles at Apple, IBM, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Symantec, EY, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

At Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Asfour was Country Manager for Enterprise Services in Saudi Arabia. He managed a team of 285 people across business development, sales and operations.

Asfour also spent four years in senior management at Apple from 2012 to 2016. His responsibilities included mergers and acquisitions, technology, supply chain and manufacturing, strategic partnerships, and organisational restructuring.

Earlier in his career, Asfour worked at EY as an Executive Manager and Client Relationship Manager. He led the IT Advisory Infrastructure business and worked with clients across telecommunications, the public sector and military agencies.

He also held a senior security infrastructure role at Symantec. There, he was responsible for five global security operations centres across the US, UK, Germany, India and Australia.
