ROSHN Group has appointed Eng. Naaman Atallah as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2026. The Public Investment Fund owned Saudi developer said Atallah will lead the group as it advances its growth ambitions across Saudi Arabia.
Atallah succeeds Eng. Sabah Barakat, who had been serving as Acting Group Chief Executive Officer. Barakat will move to a role at the Public Investment Fund.
Naaman Atallah brings three decades of real estate leadership
Atallah brings more than 30 years of experience across the real estate and development sector. His career includes senior roles at several major organisations across the Middle East and North Africa.
Most recently, Atallah served as President of Al Futtaim Real Estate. He took up the role in February 2025. Before that, he was Group CEO of Nakheel.
Atallah also served as CEO of Piramal Realty and Dubai Properties. Earlier, he held senior leadership positions at Qatari Diar, Emaar Properties, Emaar Bawadi and Hamptons International.
During his time at Qatari Diar, Atallah served as Chief Development Officer and Chief Operating Officer. As COO, he co led a transformation programme that restructured the company’s business model.
The programme also covered an international portfolio of more than 30 projects. At Emaar Properties, Atallah served as Chief Operating Officer.
ROSHN leadership focus centres on growth and development
ROSHN said Atallah’s experience in transforming real estate portfolios will support the group’s growth ambitions. The company also pointed to his experience in accelerating growth and delivering customer focused developments.
According to ROSHN, his leadership will support the group’s contribution to urban development and liveability objectives in Saudi Arabia.
The appointment therefore places an experienced regional real estate executive at the head of one of Saudi Arabia’s major development groups. ROSHN’s announcement focused on Atallah’s track record across property development, operations and business transformation.
Sabah Barakat moves to PIF role
The appointment follows Barakat’s tenure as Acting Group Chief Executive Officer. ROSHN thanked Barakat for his leadership and service during his time in the role.
The company said Barakat leaves behind a strong foundation. He will now take up a role at the Public Investment Fund.
The CEO appointment is also the latest in a series of leadership changes at ROSHN. In September 2025, the group appointed Ghada Othman Alrumayan as Group Chief Shared Services Officer.
Alrumayan’s remit includes the centralisation and optimisation of core enterprise functions. These include human capital, procurement, administration, technology and corporate services.
ROSHN continues to build its senior leadership team
ROSHN’s latest appointment adds another senior executive with extensive regional real estate experience to its leadership structure. The company said Atallah’s background will support its growth and development objectives across Saudi Arabia.
For the group, the CEO role brings together responsibility for its wider growth ambitions and its contribution to urban development and liveability objectives.
Atallah formally assumed the Group CEO position on 1 September 2026.
