Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi has appointed Tarun Seth as General Manager. Seth will oversee the hotel’s operations in the UAE capital.
Seth brings more than two decades of luxury hospitality experience to the role. His career includes senior leadership positions with Hyatt, as well as earlier roles with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Taj Hotels.
His experience covers hotel operations, pre openings, strategic repositioning, food and beverage, and commercial growth.
Tarun Seth to lead hotel operations
At Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, Seth will oversee all areas of hotel operations. His mandate includes commercial performance, talent development and guest experiences.
The role also includes building on the hotel’s identity as a design led lifestyle destination. The property’s positioning draws on the culture and character of Abu Dhabi.
Seth said the hotel can build further on what distinguishes both the property and the city. He also linked the hotel’s people strategy to the guest experience.
“I’ve always believed that exceptional guest experiences begin with exceptional colleagues,” Seth said.
He added that the hotel will focus on creating experiences that reflect the Andaz identity. Seth also said the team will contribute to Abu Dhabi’s continued growth as a global destination.
Seth joins from Grand Hyatt Gurgaon
Before joining Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, Seth served at Grand Hyatt Gurgaon. He played a key role in leading the property through its pre opening phase.
Under Seth’s leadership, Grand Hyatt Gurgaon became one of Hyatt’s leading properties in Southwest Asia for guest satisfaction, according to the company.
The hotel also recorded strong commercial and operational performance under his leadership. It received national recognition and multiple industry accolades.
Seth was named Luxury General Manager of the Year by Hospitality Horizon. He was also recognised among India’s Top 5 Luxury Hotel General Managers.
His earlier career included experience with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Taj Hotels. Seth also held senior leadership positions with Hyatt.
People focus in Abu Dhabi role
Seth’s mandate places talent development alongside operational and commercial responsibilities. His comments also highlight the role of employees in shaping guest experiences.
Seth said he wants to build on the culture already in place at Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi. He described an approach where colleagues feel supported and empowered to create guest experiences.
