ProgressSoft has announced three executive leadership appointments to support its next phase of growth while strengthening operational excellence across its regional business. The leadership transition includes the appointment of Mohammad Swaity as Chief Operations Officer, Hussein Jundi as Country Manager for ProgressSoft Oman, and Rami Tannous as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
The appointments reflect ProgressSoft’s continued investment in leadership development and succession planning. They also strengthen the company’s ability to support financial institutions, payment service providers and national payment ecosystems across Oman and international markets.
Mohammad Swaity becomes Chief Operations Officer
Mohammad Swaity has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer after spending 13 years with ProgressSoft and leading its Oman operations. Previously, he served as Country Manager for ProgressSoft Oman, where he helped strengthen the company’s presence in the Sultanate while building long standing client and partner relationships.
The company credited Swaity with supporting business growth and operational performance throughout his leadership in Oman.
He brings more than 16 years of experience managing software delivery projects for banking and financial institutions. His expertise includes project management, payment systems, anti money laundering solutions, blockchain technologies and operational leadership. He also completed an Executive Program in Management at Columbia Business School.
ProgressSoft Chief Executive Officer Michael Wakileh said Swaity’s promotion recognises 13 years of leadership and contribution to the company’s Oman operations.
Hussein Jundi takes charge of ProgressSoft Oman
Hussein Jundi has been appointed Country Manager of ProgressSoft Oman, succeeding Swaity. He will oversee the company’s operations in the Sultanate while maintaining continuity for clients and business partners.
Before taking the role, Jundi served as Business Development Manager at ProgressSoft, focusing on business expansion and client engagement. Rami Tannous named Deputy Chief Executive Officer
The leadership transition also includes the appointment of Rami Tannous as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Tannous served as ProgressSoft’s Chief Operations Officer since 2007. In his new role, he will continue supporting the company’s long term strategy and operational execution across international markets.
His career spans more than 25 years across enterprise operations, digital transformation and financial technology. At ProgressSoft, he has overseen project delivery, client relationships, operational planning and executive leadership initiatives supporting the company’s international growth.
Before joining ProgressSoft, Tannous held senior leadership positions in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. He also completed Harvard Business School Executive Education’s Senior Executive Leadership Program.
ProgressSoft reinforces future growth strategy
The appointments were announced during a client and partner dinner hosted by ProgressSoft in Muscat, where the company recognised Swaity’s contribution to its Oman operations and introduced the new leadership team.
Michael Wakileh said Swaity’s appointment reflects his 13 years of leadership within ProgressSoft Oman. He added that Hussein Jundi’s appointment will ensure continuity under experienced leadership and expressed confidence that both executives, together with Rami Tannous, will continue creating value for clients, employees and operations across local, regional and global markets.
ProgressSoft said the leadership transition forms part of its continued investment in leadership development, operational excellence and sustainable growth. Founded in 1989, ProgressSoft provides financial technology and payment solutions to banks, central banks, payment service providers and financial institutions worldwide. The company develops secure, modular and platform independent solutions that support financial modernisation and trusted payment ecosystems.
For HR leaders and senior executives, the appointments highlight the value of structured succession planning and internal leadership development. By promoting experienced leaders while ensuring continuity in Oman, ProgressSoft continues strengthening its executive team to support financial institutions across the region.
