The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said the Oman smart road technology project supports wider plans to adopt advanced construction systems across infrastructure projects. A ceremony marking the launch was held under the patronage of Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Economic Adviser at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.
