Magna AI, Inc. has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Emaar Executive Company (EEC) to support the development of sovereign AI data centres and AI Factory infrastructure across Saudi Arabia.
Magna AI announced the agreement on 30 June 2026. The companies formalised the framework in Riyadh during the Global AI Show. Dr Moataz BinAli, Chief Executive Officer of Magna AI, and Mr Karthik Ramaswamy, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Executive Company, signed the memorandum of understanding.
Partnership focuses on sovereign AI infrastructure
The agreement brings together Magna AI’s AI infrastructure capabilities with EEC’s engineering, procurement and construction expertise. According to Magna AI, the collaboration will support the planning, construction and operation of sovereign AI data centres, secure AI platforms and large scale AI transformation programmes across Saudi Arabia. The companies also expect the framework to support projects across the wider Middle East and North Africa.
Saudi Arabia continues to invest in digital transformation as part of its national strategy. Magna AI said sovereign AI infrastructure allows organisations to develop and operate artificial intelligence while keeping data, models and governance under local control. The company added that this approach supports security, compliance and digital independence.
Companies divide responsibilities across AI and engineering
Under the agreement, Magna AI will design AI Factory architecture and develop secure AI platforms. The company will also oversee AI security and governance.
Meanwhile, Emaar Executive Company will manage engineering, procurement and construction activities. Its responsibilities include data centre construction, systems integration, mechanical and electrical works, project management, facility support and regulatory coordination.
According to Magna AI, Emaar Executive Company supports its delivery capability with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. The company also maintains an in Kingdom workforce to support infrastructure projects.
Collaboration covers the full AI infrastructure lifecycle
The collaboration covers the full lifecycle of AI infrastructure projects. The companies said the work will include site selection, feasibility studies, business case development, systems integration and long term operations. The programme will also focus on energy efficiency, cooling optimisation and compliance with Saudi Arabian data residency and cybersecurity requirements.

Dr Moataz BinAli, Chief Executive Officer of Magna AI, said trusted AI infrastructure depends on high engineering standards and local delivery capability.

Mr Karthik Ramaswamy, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Executive Company, said national AI infrastructure requires engineering capability and reliable project delivery.

Magna AI participated as the title sponsor of the Global AI Show Riyadh 2026. During the event, the company presented its AI Factory platform, sovereign AI capabilities and secure AI infrastructure portfolio. Magna AI said the agreement reflects its strategy to expand its partner ecosystem across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
