Aramex has appointed Faysal El Hajjami as Chief Commercial Officer, the company announced on 9 September 2026. Based in Dubai, El Hajjami will lead the logistics company’s global commercial agenda across its international network.
The appointment places El Hajjami in charge of commercial strategy and execution. He will also focus on customer growth, sales, pricing and strategic account management.
Faysal El Hajjami brings 25 years of logistics experience
El Hajjami brings more than 25 years of experience in the international express and logistics industry. His background covers commercial strategy, sales, pricing, product development, aviation, trade lanes and general management.
Before joining Aramex, El Hajjami worked at DHL Express. He most recently served as Vice President Commercial for the Middle East and North Africa.
At DHL Express, El Hajjami oversaw commercial strategy across a significant revenue portfolio. He also contributed to global commercial strategy as a member of DHL’s Global Commercial Executive Committee.
His experience spans Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The background gives him experience across commercial and operational areas within international logistics.
Aramex expands commercial leadership mandate
In his new role, El Hajjami will work across Aramex’s global network. His mandate includes strengthening commercial strategy and execution across the business.
He will also work on customer growth and the company’s approach to sales and pricing. Strategic account management will form another part of his responsibilities.
Aramex Group CEO Amadou Diallo said El Hajjami brings experience in commercial and logistics leadership. Diallo also pointed to his experience in profitable growth and transformation across international markets.
According to Diallo, the appointment will support Aramex’s efforts to strengthen its global commercial capabilities. He also linked the role to the company’s growth ambitions and its Accelerate programme.
El Hajjami to focus on customer relationships and growth
El Hajjami said he will focus on building on Aramex’s global network and entrepreneurial culture. He also highlighted the company’s connections across international trade markets.
The new Chief Commercial Officer said he plans to work with teams across the organisation. His focus will include deepening customer relationships and strengthening commercial excellence.
El Hajjami also said he will contribute to Aramex’s next phase of sustainable and profitable growth. His responsibilities will span the company’s international network from his base in Dubai.
Aramex operates across 70 countries
Founded in 1982, Aramex is headquartered in the UAE and listed on the Dubai Financial Market. The company has operations in more than 600 cities across 70 countries.
Aramex employs more than 16,000 professionals, according to the company. Its business covers International Express, Domestic Express, Freight Forwarding, and Logistics & Supply Chain Solutions.
The company’s International Express business also includes its Parcel Forwarding operations, including Shop & Ship and MyUS.
