Jérôme Perrier has been appointed Regional CEO for Middle East, Africa and Central Asia at Amundi, following his departure from Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (Crédit Agricole CIB) in Qatar. Perrier announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post, where he confirmed he is joining Amundi after leading Crédit Agricole CIB’s franchise in Qatar.

Perrier said he was leaving Qatar and Crédit Agricole CIB “with a heavy heart” after working with clients, colleagues and leadership teams to establish the bank’s presence in the country. He added that he is looking forward to working with the Amundi team in his new regional leadership role.

Jérôme Perrier moves from Crédit Agricole CIB to Amundi

Before joining Amundi, Perrier served as CEO of Crédit Agricole CIB Qatar. According to his statement, he worked with the bank’s executives, employees and clients to establish what he described as a strong franchise, supported by a series of landmark transactions.

Perrier said he was grateful for the opportunities provided within the Crédit Agricole Group, noting that the organisation had enabled him to take on diverse international leadership roles during his career.

His LinkedIn profile also confirms that he became CEO of Amundi Middle East, Africa and Central Asia in June 2026, after serving as CEO of Crédit Agricole CIB Qatar, with responsibility for business origination across Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Regional leadership mandate at Amundi

In his new role, Perrier said he will work with the Amundi team to deliver investment and savings solutions tailored to individual markets across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.

He also said the Crédit Agricole Group remains committed to the long term development of the region. Perrier described the region as one that continues to experience nation building, wealth creation and structural development, supported by energy resources, capital and long term investment.

Executive statement

Reflecting on the move, Perrier said:

“I am leaving Qatar and CACIB with a heavy heart… but excited to join our sister company Amundi, the #1 Asset Manager in Europe, as Regional CEO for Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.”

He added:

“I am now looking forward to working with the Amundi team to deliver innovative investment and saving solutions, tailored to each country in the Region.”

Perrier also thanked the teams, executives, clients, colleagues and friends who supported him during his time in Doha and said he looked forward to staying connected with them.
