Bank of America has appointed Khaled Darwish as Head of Corporate Banking for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The bank announced the appointment on 20 July 2026. Darwish is based in Dubai and reports to Richard King, Head of EMEA Corporate Banking.
In his new role, Darwish will lead Bank of America’s Corporate Banking strategy across the MENA region. He will work with teams across Corporate Banking, Global Payments Solutions, Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Global Markets to support client growth and execution across the region.
Khaled Darwish brings more than two decades of banking experience
According to Bank of America, Khaled Darwish has more than 20 years of experience in financial services across London and Dubai.
Before joining Bank of America, Darwish served as Head of Debt Capital Markets for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa at HSBC. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at J.P. Morgan, where he held senior positions in debt capital markets.
Appointment supports Bank of America’s regional corporate banking strategy
Bank of America said Darwish will oversee the bank’s regional growth strategy for Corporate Banking across the Middle East and North Africa.
The role requires close collaboration with teams across several business lines. These include Corporate Banking, Global Payments Solutions, Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Global Markets. The objective is to support client expansion and execution throughout the region.
Leadership focus on regional client growth
The appointment strengthens Bank of America’s senior leadership team for Corporate Banking in the Middle East and North Africa.
According to the bank, Darwish will help deliver its regional growth strategy while working across multiple business units to serve clients in the region. The announcement did not include additional comments from Bank of America or Khaled Darwish.
