DWS Group has appointed Alexandre Daoud as Senior Coverage Specialist for Alternatives MEA, reinforcing its expansion strategy in the Middle East.
Daoud will be based at the firm’s newly established branch in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). His appointment supports DWS’s efforts to scale its Alternatives platform and deepen institutional client relationships across the Middle East and Africa.
Focus on client engagement and Alternatives growth
In his new role, Daoud will focus on strengthening relationships with institutional investors and strategic partners. He will also collaborate with DWS’s global Alternatives team to expand the firm’s capabilities in the region.
The move comes as demand for alternative investments—such as private equity, real estate, and infrastructurecontinues to grow among regional investors.
Leadership highlights regional expertise and market insight
Commenting on the appointment, Joe Kiwan, Senior Executive Officer of DWS ADGM and Head of Coverage for MEA, said Daoud brings strong regional experience and a deep understanding of global capital allocation trends.
He added that local presence and long-term commitment are becoming critical factors for clients in the region, making this appointment strategically important.
Brings over 15 years of regional investment experience
Daoud has more than 15 years of professional experience, including over 13 years in the UAE. Before joining DWS, he served as Head of Capital Markets for the Middle East at Panattoni. He also spent a decade at JLL, where he held senior roles, including Head of International Capital Coverage for MENA.
He holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School.
Abu Dhabi office underscores long-term regional commitment
The appointment follows the launch of DWS’s Abu Dhabi office in October 2025. The office, located within ADGM, marks a key milestone in the firm’s regional growth strategy. DWS aims to offer comprehensive investment solutions while connecting Middle Eastern investors with global markets, particularly in Europe.
