Gulf Business Machines appoints two senior leaders in UAE to strengthen operational leadership and accelerate enterprise digital transformation across the United Arab Emirates.

The appointments include Dr. Feras Al Jabi as General Manager of Technology and Bassam Rached as General Manager of GBM Abu Dhabi. Together, these leadership changes support the company’s strategy to expand innovation, deepen customer engagement and align solutions with national digital priorities.

Gulf Business Machines leadership to drive technology growth

In his new role, Dr. Al Jabi will lead cloud, data, artificial intelligence and automation strategy. He will also oversee solution delivery and expand partnerships with global technology providers. Previously, he spent nearly three decades at ITQAN leading transformation programmes across government, healthcare, energy and infrastructure sectors in the Gulf region.

These initiatives align with wider UAE investments in advanced technology and digital infrastructure. They also reinforce GBM’s role in supporting enterprise modernisation.

Abu Dhabi expansion supports UAE digital economy

Meanwhile, Bassam Rached will guide operations and strategic growth in Abu Dhabi. His focus includes accelerating innovation, strengthening public- and private-sector collaboration and ensuring customer-centric service delivery.

Rached brings more than 20 years of regional technology leadership experience. He previously served as General Manager of Technology at GBM and led major transformation projects for key organisations in Abu Dhabi.

Leadership strategy aligned with national priorities

According to GBM Chairman Marwan Faraj Bin Hamoodah, the decision reflects a broader plan to enhance operational excellence and build an innovation-driven organisation.

Overall, Gulf Business Machines appoints two senior leaders in UAE at a time when demand for AI, cloud computing and digital services continues to grow. This move positions the company to support the country’s long-term digital economy ambitions.
