From September 2016 to December 2017, he was Chief Operating Officer at Al Suwaidi Paper Factory in Doha, Qatar. There, he handled the full mill operation, including recruitment, commissioning, production, quality, maintenance and material management.

Long career in manufacturing leadership
Veerichetty spent more than four years with International Paper. He served as General Manager, Mill Learning Leader and later as Deputy General Manager, Head of Converting and Finishing House.
At International Paper, he worked on people capability and manufacturing operations. He also managed production planning, quality assurance, staffing, safety and coordination across multiple functions.
His responsibilities included working with sales, marketing, supply chain, product development, commercial, IT, finance, HR, legal and maintenance teams. He also contributed to new projects, equipment training and manufacturing improvement programmes.
Earlier in his career, Veerichetty spent more than 21 years at Tamilnadu Newsprint and Papers Limited. He progressed through roles including Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Plant Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Shift Engineer and Graduate Engineer Trainee.
As Senior Project Engineer, he was involved in an expansion project that increased mill capacity from 180,000 tonnes to 230,000 tonnes per annum. His work covered the project from tendering through commissioning.
