Gulf Business Machines has appointed Pieter Willem Bil as its new Chief Executive Officer. Bil will lead the company’s strategic growth across regional markets from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The appointment was announced by Gulf Business Machines on 8 September 2026. In his new role, Bil will focus on the company’s growth across the region and its work with enterprise and public sector customers.
Pieter Willem Bil brings 30 years of leadership experience
Bil brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience. His career has focused on business transformation, growth and digital modernisation.
He has worked with Fortune 500 enterprises and government entities. His experience also includes leading large scale transformation partnerships and AI integration initiatives.
Before joining Gulf Business Machines, Bil served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Middle East and Africa at Kyndryl.
According to Gulf Business Machines, Bil has experience in scaling operations and guiding organisations through complex digital transformations. He also has experience working across multi vendor technology environments.
His regional market knowledge will support his new responsibilities at Gulf Business Machines. The company said this experience will help as it expands its regional footprint.
Bil to lead AI and digital infrastructure agenda
As Chief Executive Officer, Bil will lead Gulf Business Machines’ strategic growth across regional markets. His mandate includes supporting enterprise and public sector customers with their technology transformation needs.
The company said Bil will focus on helping customers accelerate AI adoption. He will also oversee efforts around modern digital infrastructure and technology transformation.
In addition, Bil will provide strategic counsel to customers managing complex technology environments. Gulf Business Machines said its focus remains on helping organisations stay agile, secure and prepared for future technology needs.
The appointment therefore places digital transformation and AI adoption among the areas within Bil’s leadership remit. His previous experience in these areas forms part of the background to the appointment.
