In a move that signals deepening commitment to Saudi Arabia’s digital economy, AppyThings has launched AppyThings Arabia, its new legal entity in the Kingdom. The expansion comes after two years of on-ground operations and aligns closely with the country’s ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 agenda.

Saudi Arabia’s rapid digital progress has created strong demand for scalable, secure infrastructure. Notably, the Kingdom ranked second globally in the World Bank GovTech Maturity Index 2025, highlighting its leadership in digital government transformation. As a result, companies like AppyThings are positioning themselves at the core of this shift.

Rising demand for AI-ready platforms drives localisation

AppyThings brings more than a decade of experience and a portfolio of over 100 global customers. In Saudi Arabia, it has already secured more than 10 major clients across sectors such as healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, and government.

At the same time, its regional workforce has tripled in two years. This growth reflects rising demand for robust digital foundations that support AI adoption. Moreover, Saudi organisations are prioritising interoperability, automation, and resilient infrastructure.

The company focuses on combining cloud, data, and integration capabilities. This approach helps enterprises build scalable, AI-native platforms rather than isolated systems. Consequently, organisations can modernise faster while maintaining long-term flexibility.

Google Cloud partnership strengthens market position

AppyThings’ expansion builds on its strong partnership with Google Cloud. In 2025, it was named Apigee Implementation Partner of the Year in KSA, reinforcing its expertise in API-led transformation.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s Cloud First policy has accelerated adoption of cloud-based services. Government entities now prioritise cloud solutions, which creates a strong foundation for platform-led service delivery. Therefore, AppyThings’ capabilities align directly with national priorities.

Leadership expansion to support regional growth

To strengthen its local presence, AppyThings has appointed Ahmed Raafat as Country Manager for Saudi Arabia. This move ensures closer engagement with clients and stakeholders on the ground.

Meanwhile, Shazali Taha has been promoted to Vice President for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META). In his expanded role, he will lead regional expansion, focusing on localisation, team scaling, and alignment with national digital strategies.

He noted that organisations increasingly seek secure modernisation, better system connectivity, and scalable AI-driven services. As a result, AppyThings aims to provide both technical depth and strategic guidance.

Integration layer becomes critical for enterprise AI adoption

As AI adoption accelerates, the importance of integration layers continues to grow. These layers enable orchestration, governance, and security across enterprise systems. Without them, deploying AI at scale becomes difficult.

AppyThings addresses this need through API-led and event-driven architectures. Its consulting-led approach includes maturity assessments and phased implementation roadmaps. Therefore, organisations can build sustainable digital capabilities over time.

Instead of treating integration as isolated projects, the company enables unified platforms. These platforms support automation, data exchange, and intelligent services at scale.

Saudi Arabia central to AppyThings’ five-year growth strategy

Looking ahead, AppyThings expects Saudi Arabia to remain central to its regional growth. The Kingdom’s strong policy direction, expanding digital economy, and continued investment in infrastructure create significant opportunities.

Furthermore, the company has already secured new client wins in the region. This momentum, combined with local presence, positions AppyThings to scale further across the Gulf.

Ultimately, the launch of AppyThings Arabia is more than a structural expansion. It reflects a strategic bet on Saudi Arabia’s role as a leading hub for AI, cloud, and digital services in the coming decade.
