Global consulting firm Bain & Company has appointed Eric Beranger-Fenouillet as the new Managing Partner for its Middle East operations. The appointment comes at a time when the firm is witnessing rapid expansion across the region. Beranger-Fenouillet is based in the UAE and will lead Bain’s regional strategy. His mandate includes driving client transformation, strengthening long-term partnerships, and investing further in local talent and teams.

Succeeds Tom De Waele After Six Years of Expansion

He succeeds Tom De Waele, who led Bain’s Middle East business for six years. During his tenure, the firm recorded strong growth across multiple practice areas.

Now, as EMEA Regional Managing Partner, De Waele expressed confidence in the transition. He highlighted Beranger-Fenouillet’s deep regional expertise and strong client relationships as key strengths.

Over 16 Years at Bain with Deep Strategy Expertise

Beranger-Fenouillet brings more than 16 years of experience at Bain. Previously, he headed the firm’s Middle East Energy & Natural Resources practice. Moreover, he has advised leadership teams across both the Middle East and Europe. His core expertise lies in growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), integration, and performance improvement programmes.

This combination of regional insight and strategic depth positions him well to lead during a period of transformation-led demand.

Focus on Transformation, Resilience, and Long-Term Value

In his statement, Eric Beranger-Fenouillet emphasised the region’s strong growth ambitions. He also pointed to increasing demand for measurable business outcomes and socio-economic impact. “Together with our local teams and global network, we will continue to invest in talent. At the same time, we aim to help clients build resilience and deliver lasting value,” he said.

Bain Strengthens Regional Footprint and Capabilities

The leadership change reflects Bain’s broader commitment to the Middle East. The firm continues to expand its presence and capabilities in line with rising demand for transformation consulting. Globally, Bain operates across 65 cities in 40 countries. It also collaborates with digital innovators to deliver faster and more sustainable results.

Additionally, the firm has committed over $1 billion in pro bono services over ten years. It has also earned a platinum rating from EcoVadis, placing it among the top 1% of companies globally for sustainability and ethical performance.
