Commercial Bank has partnered with Qatar’s Ministry of Labour to organise a Career Day, reinforcing its commitment to Qatarisation and the development of national talent. The initiative showcased career opportunities at the bank while strengthening engagement with Qatari professionals seeking careers in the financial sector.
The Career Day forms part of Commercial Bank’s broader strategy to build a highly skilled national workforce that supports the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030. Through the collaboration, the bank aims to attract qualified Qatari candidates, invest in their professional development, and contribute to a knowledge-based economy.
Nasser Abdulla Al Harmi, Executive General Manager and Chief Human Resources Officer at Commercial Bank, said the initiative reflects the bank’s long-term commitment to Qatar’s national development priorities.
He said Qatarisation extends beyond creating employment opportunities and represents a strategic investment in the country’s human capital. According to Al Harmi, the bank focuses on equipping young Qataris with the skills, training, and leadership opportunities required to support economic diversification and strengthen the future of Qatar’s banking sector.
Moreover, he noted that the partnership with the Ministry of Labour helps align industry requirements with highly qualified national talent, creating a stronger pipeline of future banking leaders.
Meanwhile, Eiman Mohamed Al-Naemi, Executive General Manager and Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, described Career Day as an important platform for strengthening Commercial Bank’s relationship with the local community.
She said the initiative reinforces the bank’s role as a responsible corporate citizen while supporting the aspirations of Qatari youth. Furthermore, Al-Naemi added that such programmes reflect the bank’s broader corporate social responsibility strategy and its commitment to contributing to Qatar’s economic and social development.
