According to Times of Oman, published in July 2026, the Youth Centre, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, and Oman Oil Marketing Company signed a cooperation agreement in Muscat to implement the fourth edition of the Oman Tmakon programme, which aims to equip Omani youth with entrepreneurial skills and expand self-employment opportunities in innovative industries.

The fourth edition of the Oman Tmakon programme will run from September to December 2026. It will support 100 Omani young men and women who work as independent freelancers in innovative industries. The cooperation agreement was signed by Basil Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth and Chairman of the Youth Centre Board, together with Hussein bin Hassan Bait Is’haq, Retail General Manager at Oman Oil Marketing Company. The partnership reflects continued cooperation between the public and private sectors to support youth development.
The programme also encourages participants to strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities while preparing them to compete in a changing labour market.
