Saudi Arabia will host Social Entrepreneurship Week from June 14 to 18 as part of its efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The initiative is being organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) in partnership with the National Center for the Non-Profit Sector and the Social Development Bank.
Focus on social entrepreneurship and sustainable business development
The five-day event aims to raise awareness about social entrepreneurship and highlight its growing role in supporting SME development. It will also showcase how socially driven businesses can create economic value while addressing community challenges.
In addition, the program seeks to connect entrepreneurs with social investment opportunities. Participants will also gain access to specialized partnerships that can help expand and sustain their ventures.
More than 44 organizations to participate
More than 44 entities from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors will take part in the event. Several organizations focused on social investment and community development are also expected to participate.
The broad participation reflects Saudi Arabia’s increasing emphasis on fostering collaboration between government bodies, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to drive social and economic impact.
Events planned across Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Alkhobar, and Asir
Social Entrepreneurship Week will take place at SME support centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Alkhobar, and Asir.
The program includes more than eight keynote sessions featuring industry experts, policymakers, and specialists. Organizers have also scheduled over 50 entrepreneurial meetings to encourage networking and knowledge sharing.
Furthermore, attendees will have access to advisory sessions and exhibition activities designed to support entrepreneurs at different stages of business development.
Supporting Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem
The event forms part of broader efforts to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurship landscape and promote sustainable economic growth. By connecting innovators, investors, and support organizations, Social Entrepreneurship Week aims to create new opportunities for SMEs while encouraging socially responsible business models.
As the Kingdom continues to diversify its economy, initiatives focused on social entrepreneurship are expected to play an increasingly important role in community development, job creation, and long-term business sustainability.
