Edmond de Rothschild has appointed Hamza Hamza as Head of Investment Advisory in Dubai, effective January 5, 2026. The move marks a strategic effort to strengthen the firm’s advisory capabilities across the Middle East.
In his new role, Hamza joins the Exclusive Advisory team. He will lead the development and expansion of the investment advisory business in Dubai. He will also report to Xavier Rives, Head of Advisory Switzerland.
This appointment highlights the firm’s commitment to deepening its regional presence. Moreover, it reinforces Edmond de Rothschild Dubai’s focus on delivering high-conviction, cross-asset advice to private clients and institutions.
Nearly two decades of international wealth management expertise
Hamza brings more than 19 years of global experience across capital markets, private banking, and investment advisory. Most recently, he served as Executive Director and Investment Advisor at Nomura International Wealth Management in Dubai.
Earlier, he held senior advisory roles at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, Standard Chartered Private Bank, and Coutts in both Dubai and London. Through these roles, he built strong expertise in portfolio construction, structured solutions, and multi-asset allocation for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
In addition, his early career included investment management and derivatives-focused positions in global financial markets. This background further strengthened his technical and strategic investment capabilities.
Hamza holds a BA in French with Business Management from Queen Mary University of London. He also completed professional certifications in technical analysis, financial regulation, and investment management.
Strategic focus on client advisory and portfolio innovation
According to Jonathan Atlani, CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Middle East, the firm is pleased to welcome Hamza to its Dubai leadership team. Atlani noted that Hamza’s experience in portfolio construction, structured solutions, and client development makes him well suited to lead the next phase of advisory growth.
Going forward, Hamza’s leadership is expected to expand discretionary and advisory investment services. At the same time, Edmond de Rothschild Dubai aims to strengthen tailored wealth solutions for families, entrepreneurs, and institutional investors across the region.
