DMCC confirmed a leadership change in January 2026, with the DMCC appointment of Luc Hedley Tseung-Sum-Foi as Associate Director for Asset Management in Dubai to oversee property performance, guide portfolio strategy, and support the organisation’s real estate priorities as capital activity in the UAE continues to expand.

The DMCC appointment places Tseung-Sum-Foi within the organisation’s asset management function at a time of portfolio expansion. From Dubai, he will manage asset initiatives across the property platform. He will also coordinate closely with internal teams on performance and value creation.

Dubai real estate strategy and portfolio oversight

The role supports DMCC’s wider Dubai real estate strategy. As a result, leadership oversight now sits closer to the operating assets. At the same time, the DMCC appointment aligns portfolio management with market conditions and long-term development plans.

Before joining DMCC, Tseung-Sum-Foi spent more than eight years at Grit Real Estate Income Group. During this period, he advanced from junior investment roles to Head of Asset Management. He led asset strategies across several African markets and managed income-generating portfolios through each investment phase.

Investment background and market experience

Earlier in his career, Tseung-Sum-Foi worked in sovereign and corporate credit research. He also handled acquisitions, disposals, and capital structuring. This background supports the responsibilities tied to the DMCC appointment and strengthens asset-level decision-making.

He holds a degree in economics from the University of Warwick. He has also completed CFA Level I. Together, these credentials provide a strong analytical base for asset and investment oversight.

Next phase following the DMCC appointment

Looking ahead, the DMCC appointment positions the organisation to strengthen asset performance and improve operational coordination across its property portfolio. Tseung-Sum-Foi will focus on efficiency, sustainability, and disciplined capital allocation.

He will work closely with asset management and property teams to support lifecycle planning and value optimisation. He will also support DMCC’s evolving real estate strategy as the business ecosystem in Dubai continues to develop, with an emphasis on long-term portfolio resilience and consistent operating outcomes.
