Emirates Group reported a sharp rise in hiring during the 2025–26 financial year. The company onboarded nearly 9,700 employees from an overwhelming 3.5 million applications. As a result, the Group’s total workforce grew 8% year-on-year. It reached 130,919 employees by March 31, 2026. Both Emirates and dnata drove this expansion to support growing global operations.
Masar platform streamlines large-scale recruitment
To manage the hiring surge, Emirates Group launched its digital platform, Masar. The system helped recruiters shortlist 390,000 candidates efficiently.
Consequently, hiring teams could scale recruitment faster while improving candidate selection. This reflects the Group’s push toward digital HR transformation.
UAE national workforce crosses 4,000 milestone
The Group’s UAE national workforce exceeded 4,000 employees by March 2026. This marks a key milestone in its localisation strategy.
Moreover, the company continues to invest in programmes that attract and retain Emirati talent. This aligns with broader national workforce development goals.
Emirates airline leads hiring with over 5,500 additions
Emirates added 5,515 employees during the financial year. Its total workforce now stands at 74,980, reflecting an 8% increase.
Looking ahead, the airline plans aggressive hiring. It aims to recruit nearly 20,000 operational staff over the next five years. These roles include cabin crew, pilots, engineers, and airport staff.
Dnata workforce expands alongside global demand
Meanwhile, dnata also recorded steady growth. Its workforce rose 8% to 55,939 employees.
The company continues to expand across ground handling, cargo, and catering services. This growth supports rising international travel demand.
Record profits and employee bonus boost employer appeal
Emirates Group remains one of the most attractive employers globally. Competitive pay and tax-free salaries continue to draw talent.
Notably, the Group announced a bonus equivalent to 20 weeks’ salary. This followed a record pre-tax profit of Dh22.8 billion.
In addition, brand strength remains strong. According to Brand Finance, Emirates’ brand value rose 27% to $10.6 billion in 2026.
Future investments: Cabin Crew Village project
To support workforce expansion, Emirates signed an agreement for a new crew housing project. The Cabin Crew Village will accommodate 12,000 staff upon completion.
