Landmark Arabia earns unique role in national training programme
Notably, Landmark Arabia has become the only non-academic institution participating in the delivery of vocational training under the WAD initiative. The recognition highlights the company’s long-standing efforts to train, develop, and promote Saudi nationals across its operations.
The partnership also reflects Landmark Arabia’s growing role in strengthening practical retail capabilities and preparing future leaders for one of Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing sectors.
HRSD collaboration expands opportunities across the Kingdom
The partnership, originally signed in November 2024, forms part of a broader collaboration between Landmark Arabia and HRSD across multiple regions.
Through the initiative, the company will continue developing its workforce while also opening training opportunities to job seekers and aspiring professionals. As a result, more Saudis will gain access to practical learning pathways and employment opportunities within the retail industry.
The programme supports the wider WAD National Training Campaign, which aims to create three million training opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
Training programme combines retail and soft skills development
Landmark Arabia’s training model covers both retail-specific skills and professional development. The company delivers programmes through classroom sessions, virtual learning, and digital Learning Management System (LMS) platforms.
Training sessions typically last between four and five hours. In addition, participants can access multiple monthly learning batches designed to improve workplace readiness and career growth.
Strong training record supports expansion plans
The company enters the next phase of the partnership with a proven track record in workforce development.
Between January and November 2025, Landmark Arabia delivered 79,417 training opportunities through classroom, virtual, and LMS-based programmes. The achievement underscores the company’s continued focus on capability building and employee advancement.
Furthermore, Landmark Arabia has already launched several regional initiatives under the WAD campaign.
During the programme’s launch in Hail in November 2025, the company conducted a dedicated training session and participated as a strategic partner. Later, in April 2026, Landmark Arabia signed a regional agreement in Al Baha to provide 1,000 training opportunities.
The company subsequently signed similar agreements in Al Qassim and Al Madinah, creating an additional 2,000 training opportunities across both regions.
Leadership highlights Vision 2030 alignment
Vedapuri Thachampattu, Chief Country Officer at Landmark Arabia, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s long-term workforce ambitions.
He noted that investing in skills development remains critical to building a future-ready workforce and creating sustainable opportunities for Saudi talent.
According to Thachampattu, Landmark Arabia’s accreditation as a vocational training provider demonstrates its ongoing efforts to strengthen employee capabilities and support career progression across the Kingdom.
Focus on empowering Saudi youth and job seekers
Yasser Alqahtani, Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources at Landmark Arabia, said developing Saudi talent remains a strategic priority for the company.
He added that the partnership allows Landmark Arabia to extend practical retail and soft-skills training to a broader audience. Consequently, Saudi youth and job seekers can gain industry-relevant experience and improve their employability.
Alqahtani also said the initiative supports nationalisation goals while helping participants build the capabilities required for long-term career success.
Landmark Arabia strengthens role in Saudi human capital development
Through the WAD National Training Campaign, Landmark Arabia aims to expand vocational learning opportunities and strengthen workforce readiness across Saudi Arabia.
The initiative also highlights the increasing role of the private sector in supporting the Kingdom’s human capital agenda. As Saudi Arabia accelerates its economic transformation, partnerships between businesses and government institutions are expected to play an increasingly important role in preparing future talent.
