Nebius has appointed Raja Agrawal as Vice President for the Middle East and Africa. The AI cloud company announced the appointment as it expands its presence in one of the world’s fastest growing AI and cloud markets.

Based in Dubai, Raja Agrawal will lead Nebius’ go to market strategy across the Middle East and Africa. His remit includes expanding customer adoption among enterprises, governments, research institutes and public sector organisations across the region.

Raja Agrawal brings more than two decades of enterprise and cloud experience

Nebius said Raja Agrawal brings more than 20 years of experience across enterprise technology and cloud. His background covers artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data and enterprise platforms.

During his career, Raja Agrawal has held senior leadership roles at SAP, Microsoft and BrowserStack. According to Nebius, he built and led customer focused teams, developed long term partnerships and managed complex programmes from strategy through execution.

Appointment supports Nebius’ regional expansion plans

Nebius said the appointment forms part of its wider global expansion strategy. The company is also establishing a local team in the Middle East and Africa, with an initial focus on go to market functions.

Nebius confirmed that its first regional hires are already in place. The company said these appointments will support future growth and strengthen customer engagement across the region.

The company also continues to expand its global AI infrastructure. According to Nebius, it operates AI factories across the United States and the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, supported by its financial position and expanding global footprint.

Raja Agrawal outlines regional priorities

Commenting on his appointment, Raja Agrawal said the region’s investment in artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure remains both strategic and necessary.

Nebius is focused on building trusted, long term partnerships and helping organisations run AI workloads with the performance, resilience, reliability and economics they demand. I’m honoured to take on this role and excited to work alongside customers, partners and leaders across the region to support meaningful and sustainable progress.”

Nebius focuses on AI cloud infrastructure

Nebius develops AI cloud infrastructure designed for large scale artificial intelligence workloads. The company said its platform supports organisations from model training through to production deployment.

According to Nebius, its technology combines integrated hardware and software to support AI workloads at scale. The company serves both startups and enterprise customers developing AI products, agents and services.

Nebius is headquartered in Amsterdam and is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker NBIS.
