Oliver Wyman has appointed Dr. Mona Hammami as Head of the United Arab Emirates. The move highlights the firm’s long-term commitment to expanding its presence in a fast-evolving advisory market.

At a time when the UAE is accelerating reforms across sectors, the appointment signals a stronger push to align consulting capabilities with national priorities.

Drive Government Reform and Digital Transformation

In her new role, Dr. Hammami will lead the firm’s engagement across key national priorities. These include government reform, AI and digital transformation, the future of work, public health, and social impact.

She will also focus on strengthening partnerships across public and private sectors. As a result, Oliver Wyman aims to deepen its role as a strategy and implementation partner in the region.

Strong Public Sector and Global Advisory Experience

Dr. Hammami brings extensive experience in advising governments and public institutions. Before joining Oliver Wyman, she was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she led the Public and Social Sector practice. Earlier, she held senior roles at the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, Booz & Company, the International Monetary Fund, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia.

This cross-sector experience positions her to navigate complex policy and transformation agendas.

Leadership Perspective: Bridging Strategy and Execution

Pedro Oliveira, Managing Partner for India, Middle East and Africa at Oliver Wyman, said the appointment reflects the firm’s investment in leadership that delivers measurable impact. He noted that Dr. Hammami’s credibility with government stakeholders and her understanding of interconnected systems will be critical as the firm scales its UAE operations.

Dr. Hammami emphasised that the UAE is emerging as a global hub for policy innovation and capital flows. Therefore, demand is rising for advisory firms that can move beyond strategy and deliver execution.

UAE: A Strategic Growth Market for Consulting Firms

The UAE continues to attract global consulting firms as it drives economic diversification and large-scale transformation initiatives. With increasing focus on AI, public sector efficiency, and social impact, firms are competing to position themselves as long-term partners to both government and enterprise clients.

Oliver Wyman’s latest leadership appointment aligns with this broader trend.

Parent Group Strengthens Global Backing

Oliver Wyman operates under Marsh, which has a presence in over 130 countries and annual revenues exceeding $27 billion. This global backing strengthens the firm’s ability to deliver large-scale, cross-border advisory solutions.
