Oman Duty Free has appointed Sayyid Nasr Al Busaidi as its new Chief Executive Officer. The national travel retail company said the appointment supports its growth strategy as it strengthens retail operations in Oman while exploring opportunities in international markets.
Sayyid Nasr brings nearly two decades of leadership experience across logistics, airport operations, travel retail and government services. Before joining Oman Duty Free, he served as Executive Director for Travel Retail and Premium Services at Transom Handling and previously held the position of Chief Postmaster General at Oman Post.

At Transom Handling, Sayyid Nasr led travel retail, lounge operations and premium passenger services. His responsibilities included overseeing commercial performance, concession partnerships and customer experience while supporting the establishment of Oman Duty Free and identifying international business opportunities.
Earlier, as Chief Postmaster General at Oman Post, he oversaw initiatives across retail, e-commerce and government services. His leadership focused on customer experience, institutional development and service delivery while expanding the organisation’s commercial and international activities.
His professional profile also includes advisory and board positions in Oman, reflecting experience across both the public and private sectors.
Leading Oman Duty Free’s next phase of growth
In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Sayyid Nasr said Oman Duty Free’s responsibilities extend beyond traditional travel retail.
“Today I serve as Chief Executive Officer of Oman Duty Free, a national travel retail enterprise. Our mandate spans air, land, and sea, and our ambition reaches well beyond Oman’s borders,” he said.
He added that the company aims to build an institution that reflects the dignity of the Sultanate while meeting the expectations of modern travellers and creating lasting value for the nation.
Sayyid Nasr also said he carries forward a family tradition through his role as one of the owners of Amouage, Oman’s perfume house.
“For me, service and enterprise are inseparable, each demanding resilience and each leaving behind an impact that lasts,” he said.
Oman Duty Free said the appointment marks a new phase in its development as it continues to strengthen its retail operations while expanding its presence in regional and international travel retail markets.
