The fifth edition of Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) will take place from May 4 to 7 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, reinforcing the UAE’s push to strengthen its industrial base and economic resilience. Hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the event will bring together policymakers, manufacturers, investors, and innovators under the theme “Emerging Stronger.”
Moreover, the platform arrives at a time when the UAE is accelerating efforts to modernise its industrial sector and enhance global competitiveness.
Cabinet Initiatives Boost Industrial Growth Agenda
Notably, MIITE 2026 coincides with a major package of initiatives approved by the UAE Cabinet to support industrial development. These measures aim to improve supply chain resilience, strengthen local manufacturing, and ensure long-term economic stability.
A key highlight is the creation of a AED 1 billion industrial resilience fund. This fund will support the localisation of critical industries and encourage the adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence.
In addition, the government has expanded the National In-Country Value (ICV) programme into a mandatory framework across federal entities and national companies. As a result, more spending will flow into local industries, boosting domestic production.
Platform to Drive Partnerships and Procurement Opportunities
MIITE 2026 is designed to convert national strategies into tangible business outcomes. It offers a structured environment where stakeholders can form partnerships, secure supply chains, and unlock procurement opportunities.
The event will feature more than 1,100 exhibitors across 12 industrial sectors. At the same time, it aims to localise the production of around 5,000 products within the UAE.
Importantly, SMEs account for 61% of exhibitors, highlighting their growing role in the country’s industrial ecosystem.
Over 120,000 Visitors Expected
Organisers expect the event to attract more than 120,000 visitors, including global investors, industry leaders, and decision-makers. Therefore, MIITE continues to position itself as a key platform for industrial collaboration in the region.
Furthermore, the event will showcase innovations in robotics, autonomous systems, and AI-driven manufacturing. These technologies are expected to play a central role in shaping the future of the UAE’s industrial sector.
Leadership Emphasises AI and Industrial Transformation
Sultan Al Jaber highlighted that the UAE is steadily advancing its industrial sector under a clear national vision. He noted that artificial intelligence is redefining competitiveness and driving the sector toward a more resilient future.
He also emphasised that the newly approved initiatives mark a significant step forward. They aim to enhance decision-making, improve access to financing, and strengthen supply chains.
As a result, MIITE 2026 will act as a bridge between policy and execution, turning strategic goals into measurable economic outcomes.
Strengthening UAE’s Long-Term Economic Vision
The platform aligns with the UAE’s broader ambitions under long-term strategies such as economic diversification and industrial expansion. It supports efforts to increase the contribution of manufacturing to GDP while enhancing the global competitiveness of UAE-made products.
In conclusion, MIITE 2026 reflects a shift from policy planning to real-world implementation. By combining investment, innovation, and collaboration, the event reinforces the UAE’s position as a leading industrial hub.
