Yousuf has been part of Al Masraf’s Succession Nominees since 2023. His appointment therefore follows the bank’s existing succession planning framework and its focus on developing internal talent and leadership pathways.

Al Masraf retail banking mandate
In his new role, Yousuf will lead Al Masraf’s Retail and Business Banking businesses. His remit includes strengthening customer relationships, improving the customer experience and supporting sustainable growth across the bank’s retail franchise.
The appointment also adds an experienced Emirati banking executive to Al Masraf’s senior leadership team under CEO Fuad Mohamed.
For Al Masraf, the appointment reflects an approach to succession that combines internal development with progression into senior leadership. Yousuf’s inclusion in the bank’s Succession Nominees since 2023 preceded his move into the Chief Retail Banking Officer role.
The appointment also places national talent development within the bank’s senior leadership structure. Yousuf’s progression follows experience across Treasury, Investment and Retail and SME banking.
