According to Times News Service, “Sanad Service Centres process over 400,000 transactions and create more than 2,200 jobs,” published in August 2026, Oman Digital Services expanded through Sanad Service Centres, which handled more than 400,000 transactions during the first half of 2026 while supporting employment, entrepreneurs and investors.

Sanad Service Centres create more than 2,200 jobs in Oman

The network of authorised Sanad Service Centres reached 922 by the end of June. Together, the centres now provide nearly 400 government and private-sector services across Oman. They have also generated more than 2,200 employment opportunities for Omani nationals.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion continues to strengthen Oman Digital Services through organisational expansion and digital transformation initiatives.

Digital transformation improves public services

Fathi Nasser Al Mahamouli, Assistant Director of Sanad Service Centres at the ministry, said the centres have become an integrated platform for delivering government and private services. He noted that electronic connectivity has expanded while digital platforms continue to improve service quality.

The ministry also aims to raise efficiency by measuring transaction completion times, first-visit completion rates and beneficiary satisfaction. These indicators support continuous improvements across the service network.

Oman digital services support businesses and investors

The growing network serves citizens, residents, entrepreneurs, SMEs and investors throughout the Sultanate. Digital access has reduced the need for in-person visits, helping beneficiaries save time, travel and administrative effort.

As demand for specialised services increases, Oman Digital Services continue to evolve to meet changing user expectations.

Smart service centres shape the next phase

The ministry is working to standardise service quality across all centres through governance guidelines, staff training, institutional classification and ongoing monitoring.

Looking ahead, Oman Digital Services will include smart multi-service centres with more digital offerings, artificial intelligence systems and stronger public-private partnerships. These developments are expected to improve operational efficiency and support the long-term sustainability of the Sanad Service Centre network.
