Barkha Doshi has been promoted to Legal Director at Clyde & Co in UAE. This step marks a key milestone in her career. It also shows the firm’s trust in her leadership and expertise.

She has worked closely with clients in fintech and financial services. She advised them on regulatory, corporate, and transactional matters. As a result, she built a strong reputation in fast-evolving sectors. Moreover, her work often focuses on new financial models and digital assets.

Diverse experience across global law firms and policy bodies

Doshi brings more than ten years of legal experience. She has worked across India and the Middle East. Earlier, she held senior roles at Pinsent Masons and progressed from Associate to Senior Associate.

Before that, she worked with leading Indian firms such as Khaitan & Co and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. These roles helped her gain strong expertise in capital markets, corporate structuring, and cross-border deals.

In addition, she contributed to policy development with the Arab Monetary Fund. She supported work on peer-to-peer lending, tokenisation, and crowdfunding frameworks. Therefore, she gained early exposure to regulatory innovation in financial services.

Recognised expert in emerging financial technologies

Over the years, Doshi has built a niche in fintech law. She has advised on security token offerings and alternative finance structures. She has also published insights on force majeure, crowdfunding, and fund structures in the UAE.

Her work reflects a deep understanding of both legal frameworks and business needs. In addition, she often bridges the gap between regulation and innovation. This makes her a valuable advisor to financial institutions and startups alike.

Dual-qualified lawyer with strong academic foundation

Doshi is dual-qualified in India and England & Wales. She is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales. She is also a Licensed Foreign Legal Consultant in Dubai.

She completed her law degree at Symbiosis Law School, where she specialised in banking and finance law. Furthermore, she holds certifications in European Union legal studies. She is fluent in English and French, which supports her cross-border practice.

Key role in strengthening Clyde & Co’s regional growth

In her new role, Doshi will help expand Clyde & Co’s fintech and financial services practice in the Middle East. She will work closely with clients on regulatory strategy and complex transactions.

Her experience in digital finance and policy frameworks will support the firm’s growth plans. At the same time, her leadership will help clients navigate changing regulations with confidence.
