Swiss private banker Daniel Hasibeder has joined Lombard Odier Group as Vice President within the New Markets Department at Lombard Odier (Middle East) Ltd, based in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
In his new role, Hasibeder will focus on advising high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals across the Middle East, particularly in the Arabian Gulf. His responsibilities include delivering tailored wealth management strategies, investment advisory, and structuring solutions aligned with Swiss banking standards.
Founded over 230 years ago, Lombard Odier is one of Switzerland’s oldest private banks and has steadily expanded its footprint across global wealth hubs, including the Middle East.
Twelve Years of Swiss Banking Experience
Prior to joining Lombard Odier, Hasibeder spent more than a decade at Zürcher Kantonalbank in Zurich, where he progressed through several key roles in private banking and relationship management.
He most recently served as Market Head and Senior Relationship Manager in the bank’s international private banking division. In that capacity, he was responsible for managing relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients while overseeing market development in the UAE and the wider Middle East.
Earlier in his tenure, he also managed Swiss expatriate clients residing across the Middle East and North Africa, advising on investment solutions, financing strategies, and long-term financial planning.
Career Journey from Banking Intern to Private Banking Leader
Hasibeder’s banking career began in Zurich as an intern at Zürcher Kantonalbank, where he gained exposure across multiple departments including call centre operations, back office functions, and private banking advisory.
Over time, he advanced through several roles including Client Advisor, Senior Client Advisor, and Relationship Manager, steadily building expertise in wealth management, mortgage advisory, pension planning, and portfolio structuring for affluent clients.
His experience also includes an international traineeship that involved a language exchange programme in Singapore, further strengthening his global financial perspective.
Strategic Relocation to Dubai
After spending twelve years in Switzerland, Hasibeder has relocated to Dubai to deepen his engagement with clients across the Middle East.
The move reflects the growing importance of the region as a global wealth hub, with Dubai emerging as a preferred destination for international private banking and cross-border wealth management.
Academic and Professional Background
Hasibeder holds a Bachelor of Science in International Management from Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW and has pursued further academic development at Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences Switzerland.
He has also completed professional programmes in accounting and business English through KV Business School Zürich and EF Executive Language Institute, complementing his technical banking expertise with international communication and financial management skills.
With extensive experience in Swiss private banking and a strong understanding of Middle Eastern markets, Hasibeder is expected to contribute to Lombard Odier’s continued expansion in the region’s wealth management sector.
