First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has appointed seasoned banking professional Vinod Karat as Head of Hospitality Sector – Real Estate & Hospitality within its Wholesale Banking Group, reinforcing the lender’s strategic focus on sector-led growth across the UAE and its international network.

In his new role, Karat will spearhead the development of financing and relationship strategies for clients across the real estate and hospitality ecosystem, supporting FAB’s ambition to deepen sectoral expertise and expand its wholesale banking footprint.

Over Two Decades of Banking Leadership

Karat brings around 22 years of experience in banking and financial services across the UAE and India, with deep expertise in corporate and commercial banking, project finance, real estate financing, trade finance, contracting finance, and working capital solutions. Profile (10)

Proven Track Record at FAB and Legacy Institutions

Prior to this appointment, Karat served as Executive Director and Unit Head – Corporate Banking at FAB, where he led senior coverage teams across Dubai and the Northern Emirates, overseeing specialised financing solutions including trade, term lending, syndications, contracting finance, and Islamic products.
