BitOasis has appointed Jonathan Rigg as Chief Executive Officer, as the regulated digital asset platform enters its next stage of growth across the Middle East and North Africa. The appointment follows the company’s integration with CoinDCX and succeeds co founder Ola Doudin, who led BitOasis since its launch in 2016.
The leadership transition comes as BitOasis continues expanding its regulated presence in the UAE and Bahrain while serving retail investors, family offices and institutional clients across the region.
Jonathan Rigg brings digital assets experience
Jonathan Rigg joins BitOasis with experience across global banking, fintech and digital assets. Before his appointment, he served as Vice President, Commercial at Fuze Finance, where he helped scale the business from its early stages. Earlier in his career, he held roles at HSBC and Deutsche Bank, focusing on prime brokerage and capital advisory.
According to the company, Rigg has led commercial teams, launched regulated platforms and worked across crypto infrastructure, OTC trading, stablecoin payments and Banking as a Service. BitOasis said his experience aligns with its plans to strengthen its position across the MENA digital asset market.
BitOasis focuses on regional growth and trust
The company said the appointment reflects its continued focus on expanding across the region while maintaining high standards for customers, partners and regulators. Rigg said his priority will be to build on the company’s existing foundation by strengthening products, expanding capabilities and ensuring trust and safety remain central to the platform’s operations.
Outgoing Chief Executive Ola Doudin said Rigg’s leadership experience makes him well placed to guide the business through its next stage of development. CoinDCX Co Founder Sumit Gupta also welcomed the appointment, describing it as an important step following CoinDCX’s acquisition of BitOasis in 2024.
Regulated regional presence expands
BitOasis said it has recorded approximately $8.5 billion in spot trading volume and serves more than one million customers across the region. In May 2025, the company launched BitOasis Bahrain after receiving a broker dealer licence from the Central Bank of Bahrain, extending its regulated footprint beyond the UAE.
The company also noted that its OTC desk supports institutional clients and that it has secured regulatory approval for derivatives products that are progressing towards launch. BitOasis said these developments, together with its integration with CoinDCX, support its continued growth across the MENA digital asset ecosystem.
