Ford has appointed Amith Shetty as managing director for Saudi Arabia, Levant and North Africa. At the same time, the company named Hamzeh Al Shalan as regional aftersales director. These changes restructure leadership across key Middle East and North Africa markets. They also align sales, service operations, and regional expansion plans.
Amith Shetty’s Background and Mandate
Amith Shetty brings 15 years of automotive industry experience. He has spent more than 10 years with Ford across the Middle East and North Africa. During this time, he held roles in finance, revenue management, strategy, and sales. As a result, he has worked across India, North America, and the MENA region.
In his new role, Shetty will oversee Ford and Lincoln sales across Saudi Arabia, Levant, and North Africa. He will also manage aftersales performance and market share growth. In addition, he will lead the commercial vehicle ecosystem. His responsibilities include establishing Ford’s regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia and strengthening distributor relationships.
Ford’s Regional Strategy and Operational Focus
Meanwhile, Hamzeh Al Shalan takes on the role of regional aftersales director for Saudi Arabia and North Africa. He joined Ford in 2014 and has worked extensively in aftersales operations. In this position, he will oversee service, parts, and customer experience functions. His focus will be on strengthening the aftersales network across the region.
Saudi Arabia remains Ford’s largest market in the region. It also serves as a central hub for wider Middle East and North Africa operations. The company has reported three consecutive years of double-digit growth. This performance reflects continued investment in products and aftersales services.
Earlier in 2026, Ford launched a new mobile application in the Kingdom. This platform improves customer connectivity and ownership experience. At the same time, the company expanded its Riyadh office to support regional operations.
Leadership Alignment with Regional Growth Plans
Ravi Ravichandran, President of Ford Middle East and North Africa, said Saudi Arabia, the Levant, and North Africa remain central to the company’s regional strategy. He added that Ford is focusing on product positioning and aftersales support. At the same time, leadership alignment remains a priority.
Overall, Ford continues to combine a diversified vehicle portfolio with service infrastructure. This approach supports long-term customer retention. These appointments place sales and customer experience under dedicated regional leadership. As a result, operational control is now more aligned with regional market priorities.
