Yusra Marouf has been appointed Group HR Director for Joint Ventures and Subsidiaries at Zain Group. The appointment follows a five year progression through a series of HR leadership roles within the regional telecommunications company.
Marouf most recently served as HR Strategic Program Director. Before that, she held the positions of HR Strategic Program Senior Manager and HR Strategic Program Manager within Group HR. In her new role, she will oversee HR strategy and people initiatives across Zain Group’s joint ventures and subsidiaries, supporting business growth and workforce excellence.
Yusra Marouf advances through Zain Group HR leadership
Marouf has played a role in HR transformation, executive coaching, talent development and organisational effectiveness during her time at Zain Group. The company said her work has supported strategic HR initiatives across the business.
Before joining Zain Group, she held senior HR leadership positions at Chalhoub Group, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait and the National Bank of Kuwait. Throughout her career, she has led initiatives covering performance management, succession planning, talent acquisition, organisational design, competency mapping, compensation and benefits, cultural transformation, leadership development and HR policy modernisation.
Her professional profile also shows that she joined Zain Group in 2021 as HR Strategic Program Manager before progressing through senior HR leadership positions to her current appointment.

As Group HR Director for Joint Ventures and Subsidiaries, Marouf will oversee HR strategy and people initiatives across Zain Group’s joint ventures and subsidiaries.
The appointment follows several internal promotions within the company.
