India has introduced a new national effort to make Artificial Intelligence education accessible to all. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has launched “YUVA AI for ALL,” a free programme designed to help citizens understand emerging technologies. Although it operates under the IndiaAI Mission, the initiative aims to build basic digital awareness among people of all ages.

Flexible, simple and real-world focused

The course takes around 4.5 hours to complete. However, learners can progress at their own pace. The lessons are simple, practical, and rooted in real Indian examples. Therefore, participants can clearly see how Artificial Intelligence affects daily life in schools, offices, and creative industries. The programme is hosted on platforms like FutureSkills Prime and iGOT Karmayogi, and participants receive an official Government of India certificate after completing all modules.

What the curriculum covers

The programme is organised into six short sections. Each one explains how intelligent systems function, why responsible digital behaviour is important, and where India is already adopting Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, the modules explore new career paths and emerging technological trends that are expected to grow rapidly in the coming years.

A massive national goal

MeitY aims to train one crore Indians in essential digital skills. As a result, the initiative is expected to reduce digital inequality and strengthen the country’s tech readiness. Educational institutions, including schools and universities, can partner with IndiaAI to help expand the programme’s reach and integrate it into their learning systems.

Built for India’s future

The curriculum has been developed by technology specialist Jaspreet Bindra. His content blends global perspectives with India’s unique realities. Consequently, the programme highlights ethical, inclusive, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence. With this effort, India signals that digital literacy is crucial for a tech-driven economy. Artificial Intelligence is now to play a defining role in that future.
