Global schools group Cognita has elevated David Baldwin to Group Chief Executive Officer, signaling a new phase of international expansion for the education network that serves more than 100,000 students across 20 countries.
Baldwin, who joined the organisation in 2018, has held senior leadership roles across the UK and the Middle East. Most recently, he led regional operations overseeing more than 23,000 students across 14 schools, while strengthening performance, integration, and expansion strategy in one of the group’s fastest-growing markets.
The global schools network today spans more than 90 campuses across Europe, the United States, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia, supported by over 22,000 teachers and staff. Baldwin’s appointment comes as global demand for premium K-12 education rises across the Middle East and Asia, driving consolidation among international school operators and renewed investment in the UAE education sector and wider international schools market.
