ADGM Academy and Mawaheb Talent Hub announced an expanded workforce partnership on February 3, 2026, in Abu Dhabi. Through this collaboration, both entities aim to increase Emirati employment across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. At the same time, the initiative responds to changing labour market needs in technology, government, and knowledge-based sectors.

Expansion of training programmes for 2026

For 2026, ADGM Academy confirmed a wider rollout of training programmes. Under the updated plan, the academy will deliver industry-aligned courses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. These programmes focus on skills linked to current market demand.

As part of the expansion, ADGM Academy introduced three new offerings. These include the Software Development Accelerator Programme. In addition, the academy launched the Technology Infrastructure Programme and the Strategic Business Intelligence Programme. Together, these courses target skills in high demand.

ADGM Academy role within Abu Dhabi Global Market

As part of Abu Dhabi Global Market, ADGM Academy operates within the emirate’s financial free zone. ADGM was established to promote Abu Dhabi as a global financial centre. It also supports economic growth and international financial services activity.

Within this framework, ADGM Academy focuses on developing human capital. The academy supports banking, finance, and public services. Through its programmes, it delivers both classroom-based and practical learning aligned with national economic priorities.

Partnership strengthens employability focus

Since 2022, ADGM Academy and Mawaheb Talent Hub have worked closely on workforce initiatives. During this period, their joint efforts supported hiring across banking, digital services, auditing, insurance, consulting, and taxation.

In 2026, the partnership places stronger focus on government and semi-government employability. As a result, ADGM Academy aims to link training outcomes to long-term career pathways. This approach prioritises stable employment over short-term placements.

Targets Emirati job placements in 2026

In 2026, ADGM Academy plans to support 620 job placements. These roles span sectors linked to economic transformation and technology adoption.

Through the ADGM Academy Job Centre, more than 4,500 UAE nationals have received upskilling or reskilling support. Each year, over 1,000 candidates move into sustainable employment. Notably, 61 percent of these placements directly support Abu Dhabi’s labour market.

Officials highlight ADGM Academy collaboration outcomes

According to Ali Al Mehairi, Senior Executive Director at ADGM Academy, the partnership focuses on clear and measurable outcomes. He said the collaboration supports the UAE’s shift toward a knowledge-based economy through structured workforce development.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abdulla Al Shimmari, Executive Director of National Workforce Enablement at the Department of Government Enablement and Mawaheb Talent Hub, said the partnership creates faster routes to sustainable employment in priority sectors.

Next phase of ADGM Academy workforce initiatives

Building on progress since 2022, the partnership continues to scale its impact. Over this period, the collaboration supported more than 1,000 specialised job placements across key industries.

Looking ahead to 2026, ADGM Academy and Mawaheb Talent Hub will continue programme delivery in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. At the same time, training capacity will remain aligned with evolving workforce needs.
